EnviroCare, Inc. is an environmental consulting firm that has been
at the front of innovative alternative energy exploration. Susan Engle, President of EnviroCare
has been involved with the Department of Interior’s Mineral Management Service since the inception
of the federal government’s proclamation to evaluate alternative energy and alternative uses of
existing facilities on the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). This proclamation was established to
ensure the orderly, safe, and environmentally responsible development of alternative energy sources
on the OCS (30 CFR Parts 250, 285 and 290). She has also worked with the OCS Policy Committee to
establish the federal government’s position on alternative energy.
As the principal of EnviroCare, founded in 1987,
she has anticipated the increased focus on alternative energy sources and has worked with long-term Clients
such as beverage manufacturers to incorporate environmentally-friendly practices at their facilities.
EnviroCare’s is currently investigation options to expand on research completed to date regarding the
facilitation of the development of offshore resources by evaluating practical uses for energy generated.
With the constant evolution of ever-changing technology in offshore alternative energy, it is imperative
that industries remain updated on its potential uses.
